Laser PhotoRejuvenation for Vascular & Pigmented Lesions

Nearly 100% of people have one or more pigmented lesions. These may be caused by sun exposure, aging, or be present from birth. Pigmented lesions are areas of skin with a higher concentration of melanin and may appear flat or raised. While most are purely cosmetic, some can indicate early skin changes, making professional assessment important.

What Is PhotoRejuvenation?

PhotoRejuvenation is a series of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments designed to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin. This advanced treatment targets:

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Age spots and uneven pigmentation

  • Rosacea and facial redness

  • Flushing and broken capillaries

  • Dull skin tone and rough texture

  • Mild acne scarring

  • Enlarged pores

  • Fine lines and early signs of aging

  • Dark circles around the eyes

This treatment involves little to no downtime, allowing you to return to normal activities immediately.

How Does PhotoRejuvenation Work?

During treatment, intense pulses of light are applied to the skin. The light penetrates without damaging the surface and is absorbed by pigmented and vascular lesions. The heat breaks down the targeted pigmentation, triggering the body’s natural healing response.

Pigmented areas may temporarily darken before flaking off or being naturally absorbed. Treatments can be safely performed as frequently as every three weeks.

What Is the Treatment Like?

  • Treatment time: 15–30 minutes

  • The area is cleansed and a cooling gel is applied

  • Light pulses are delivered with minimal discomfort

  • After treatment, the gel is removed and sunscreen is applied

Most clients describe the sensation as mild and well tolerated.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Side effects are uncommon. Immediately after treatment, the skin may appear flushed, and pigmented spots may temporarily darken. Mild swelling is rare and usually resolves quickly.

You may resume normal activities immediately. Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days following treatment.

What Results Can I Expect?

Clients report a high level of satisfaction, with many experiencing 70–90% improvement. With successive treatments, skin appears smoother, brighter, and more evenly toned.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

For optimal results, a series of 3 treatments is typically recommended. Some clients see noticeable improvement after 1–3 sessions, while others may benefit from additional treatments.

Maintenance treatments once or twice a year may be recommended to sustain results.
